Infectious Disease Policy

The following is our 2025 academy specific infectious disease policy. This will be updated as needed.

Some quick overview notes:

  • Preemptive Testing: All campers are asked to take a COVID test before arriving. All staff go through multiple health screenings and covid tests.

  • Health Screenings: All students undergo thorough health screenings upon arrival, and our staff are trained and remain vigilant in monitoring for any signs of illness throughout the session. .

  • Hygiene Practices: We instill good hygiene practices in our campers, with regular handwashing and sanitation stations strategically placed throughout the camp. Our living quarters and common areas are routinely cleaned and sanitized.

  • Good Ventilation: We utilize good ventilation practices (e.g. leaving windows open, using fans) whenever possible.

  • Masks: While masking and social distancing is optional, all students and staff are asked to bring masks with them. In the event that a dorm has encountered an exposure, they will be able to isolate and continue the adventure separate from the rest of the academy.

  • Communication Protocol: We maintain open lines of communication with our camp community. In the event of any health-related concerns, our team will promptly reach out to guardians, keeping you informed and involved in decision-making.

  • Qualified Staff: Our dedicated medical team comprises certified professionals trained in first aid, CPR, and emergency response. They are equipped to handle any health-related concerns that may arise during your child's stay.

If your family or you do not see your question listed, please contact Ash, the camp director. She will be more than happy to help you!
